About

After a long period without juggling events and activities, we are excited to invite you to a new event – The Sapir Winter Convention 2021

The convention will be held from December 16th-18th on Moshav Sapir in the Arava region.

We are looking for volenteers to help with:

  • Design and decorations
  • Site setup and takedown
  • Registration

  • General help during the convention
  • Any new ideas you have in mind that will make this convention even better…

Tickets are limited.

Site

Our site is divided to two main areas: Training Complex and Campsite.

The campsite will be in “Sapir Park,” a 10 minute walk to the training halls).

Sapir Park was established and developed with the help of KKL-JNF’s Friends in Australia, the USA and the Netherlands, and extends over an area of around 150 dunam (approx. 37.5 acres). In the center of the park is an attractive lake whose waters fill a natural dip in the landscape. When foundations were dug for the community of Sapir, the groundwater of Ein Webeh, from which Moshav Ein Yahav takes its name, rose to the surface. Instead of battling the water, the engineers channeled it into the natural depression, creating the lake with its adjacent oasis that Arava residents and visitors to the region can now enjoy.
More detail about the park in the KKL-JNF website

No pets are allowed into the park.

Events

Here are some of the convention’s highlights…

Gala Show

This year we are planning a Gala show of Israeli artists.
The Gala Show will take place Friday December 17th in the auditorium.

Juggling Olympics

The best jugglers, acrobats and flow-artists will gather to show off their many abilities!
Who can juggle 5 balls the longest?
Who can balance a club on their nose despite all the obstacles?
Who will win a competition of juggling 3 shekels coins and rake in all the cash?
All this, and more at one of the highlights of the Convention!

Fight Night

The great club combat tournament. As part of the on-going world club combat  tournament, the convention hosts the largest fight night in the Middle East. There will be preliminaries and a championship, where winners will be eligible for 500 points in the tournament!

The general public is welcome to come and watch jugglers from all around the world fighting for the title, with vigor, courage, and sexy MCing.

Volleyclub Tournament

Very similar to Volleyball but using clubs instead of a ball. A game where two teams pass clubs between each other and over the net. Each team has two or three players, each player holds two clubs – one in each hand. additionally there is an extra club which is the “ball” that passes from side to side or between same team players. If you drop the club or throw out, you lose a point. The team that scores the most points wins.

Schedule
